The policy: This privacy policy notice is for the website www.kiacranwell.com and www.kiacranwell.com and governs the privacy of those who use it. The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how I control, process, handle and protect your personal information while browsing or using this website, including your rights under current laws and regulations. If you do not agree to the following policy, you may wish to cease viewing / using this website.

Processing of your personal data

I ensure the security of any personal information I hold by using secure data storage technologies and precise procedures in how I store, access and manage that information. My methods meet the GDPR compliance requirement.

If you fill in and submit the contact form on this site, you will be reminded that in doing so you are acknowledging that you have been advised to read this notice of our GDPR measures, and have either done so, or have waived your opportunity to do so.

The data that you submit via forms on this site (including your name, email address, telephone number) will be stored on our secure mail server, as well as on our local servers/hard drives. It will also be stored on our secure web server hosted by Zoho. Some or all of this data may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities.

When you complete and submit any contact form on this site, you may be asked to consent to our adding your name to an email list for the purposes of my own marketing. If you consent to this, your data may be stored on my system, on Cloud storage systems, or by third party Cloud service providers such as Mail Chimp.

 

If you contact me in the first instance by email or telephone, I may request basic personal information such as name, email address, telephone number, etc. from you in order to maintain a record of your enquiry and to prepare for a commercial relationship with each other.

If you do this, I will retain the information you provide on my local servers/hard drives.   Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as Google Drive.

 

  • When you become a client

If you become a client, which is to say if you enter into a contractual agreement with me to carry out copywriting or marketing, I may request certain further information from you. This will not in general involve any personal data, though it may by inference include your home address if your business operates from that address.

Any data you supply in this context will be stored on my secure mail server. Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as Google Drive.

Data which you supply relating to your business and its banking (which may, by inference, include your personal account details if you are a sole trader or partnership) will not be held.

Any additional data that you might disclose to me in the course of e-mail correspondence will be stored on my secure mail server. Some or all of this may also, from time to time, be transferred to third party secure Cloud storage utilities such as Google Drive.

 

Internet cookies

This website does not place cookies of its own on your computer when you visit the site. I do not capture or store any identifiable personal information about you.

LinkedIn, Houzz, Hubspot and Google Analytics may place a cookie on your computer via this website. This does not enable us or them to capture or store data which is identifiable to you as an individual.

This website may contain links on some pages (Hubspot, Houzz and LinkedIn). These partners may collect data and use cookies for ad personalisation and measurement. Where ad preferences are requested as ‘non-personalised’ cookies may still be used for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and to combat fraud and abuse.

Clicking on any links may track your actions by using a cookie saved to your device. You can read more about cookies on this website above. Your actions are usually recorded as a referral from our website by this cookie.

Email marketing messages & subscription

Under the GDPR, I use the consent lawful basis for anyone subscribing to my newsletter or marketing mailing list. I only collect certain data about you, as detailed in the “Processing of your personal date” above.

Email marketing messages that I send may contain tracking beacons / tracked clickable links or similar server technologies in order to track subscriber activity within email marketing messages. Where used, such marketing messages may record a range of data such as; times, dates, I.P addresses, opens, clicks, forwards, geographic and demographic data. Such data, within its limitations will show the activity each subscriber made for that email campaign.

Any email marketing messages I send are in accordance with the GDPR. We provide you with an easy method to withdraw your consent (unsubscribe) or manage your preferences / the information we hold about you at any time. See any marketing messages for instructions on how to unsubscribe.

I do not currently maintain a marketing email list. However, when you complete and submit any contact form on this site, you may be asked to consent to adding your name to an email list for the purposes of my own marketing. If you do consent to this, your data may be stored on our systems, on Cloud storage systems, or by third party Cloud service providers such as Mail Chimp.

Whilst I don’t run email campaigns at this time, when I do, my EMS system, such as Mailchimp, will hold the following information about you:

  • Email address
  • I.P address
  • Subscription time & date
  • [list other data that is stored]

Your individual rights

Under the GDPR your rights are as follows:

  • the right to rectification;
  • the right to erasure;
  • the right to restrict processing;

  • the right not to be subject to automated decision-making including profiling.
